
AlUla Arts Festival is returning with a rich lineup of exhibitions, performances and dialogue sessions that aim to enrich the cultural experience of visitors.
Running from January 19 to February 22, 2025, AlUla Arts Festival will bring an array of vibrant events and activities that combine the ancient heritage of AlUla with contemporary artworks, creating a rich artistic experience.
The captivating event will take place at Al Jadidah Arts District and AlUla Old Town, turning AlUla into a lively and active hub for creativity and cultural exchanges. AlUla Arts Festival 2025 will host a diverse array of workshops, talk sessions and exhibitions that highlight contemporary art.
The event will also feature specially curated programs and family-friendly activities, in addition to live music and dance performances and other immersive art experiences.
One of the event’s main highlights is the “Thikra: Night of Remembering” performance, taking place at Wadi AlFann. It is a special dance performance co-created by the renowned choreographer, Akram Khan, and the Saudi artist, Manal AlDowayan, with an original soundtrack by the prominent musician, Aditya Prakash.
Moreover, AlUla Arts Festival 2025 will showcase creative artworks and innovative light installations of the talented artist, James Turrell. The event will also display the rich heritage and modern artistry of AlUla through a variety of photography and cinematic exhibitions, including the Reminiscence Exhibition, Cinema Al Jadidah, and Bayt Al Hams (The Whispering House).
Additionally, the event will highlight the Arabic traditional arts, with AlKhatt event that celebrates the traditional and contemporary Arabic calligraphy; the ATHR Gallery which showcases the creative contemporary art of the Arab World; and the “Madrasat Addeera X Design Space” Exhibition which revives AlUla’s culture through an extraordinary blend of traditional heritage and modern artistic designs.
The event will also feature music performances at AlUla Music Hub, as well as a wide range of interactive activities and programs designed to enrich the visitors’ cultural experience.
