New Dragon Ball to Highlight Saudi Theme Park

The long-awaited video game “Dragon Ball” will be launched on Friday, October 11, marking the first edition since the demise of Akira Toriyama, the Japanese artist who created the series 40 years ago.

“Dragon Ball” represents one of the bestselling manga franchises of all time, with numerous anime series, films and video games.

It recounts the story of a monkey-tailed boy with spiky black hair called Son Goku.

Through various adventures, the hero embarks on a vast array of fights and battles with otherworldly enemies in order to find seven mystical dragon balls.

Saudi Arabia’s leisure chiefs at Qiddiya, the entertainment and tourism project being built near Riyadh, unveiled promising plans and preparations for a massive “Dragon Ball” theme park.

Spanning over half a million square meters, the Saudi “Dragon Ball” attraction will boast at least 30 rides, including a roller coaster inside a dragon modeled on Shenron, a wish-giving dragon that features in the franchise.

The new game, “Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO,” will bring together 182 characters, marking a strong back to the stage.

Another animated series known as “Dragon Ball Daima,” is also anticipated to be released marking the 40th anniversary of the franchise.
