As he always dreamed of a better future for this country, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has given a special attention to support the vital and promising entertainment industry; as Vision 2030 supports the expansion of the entertainment market to SR30 billion ($8 billion).

In various regions of the Kingdom, cinemas were opened and entertainment shows were held especially the 2019 and 2021 Riyadh Season festivals, the Jeddah Season and the Eastern Province Season, and several other entertainment events across the country.

Additionally, the kingdom started organizing concerts by inviting celebrity singers and musicians.

International film festivals and contemporary art exhibitions are held regularly, and celebrities and performers are frequent visitors to Saudi Arabia.

Many major sporting events were held by the Ministry of Sports such as: freestyle wrestling, Formula 1 and Formula E, Dakar Rally, Spanish Super Cup and Italian Super Cup.

Recently, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Adviser at the Royal Court, Turki Al Al-Sheikh, has said that entertainment events held by GEA have received a record number of more than 120 million visitors between 2019 and the first quarter of 2023.

In the meantime, Saudis don’t have to travel anymore for their entertainment and foreigners can come to entertain them in the Kingdom.

It’s worth mentioning that on the 26th of Ramadan 1438 AH, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman chose Prince Mohammed Bin Salman as the Crown Prince to lead the Kingdom’s development campaign.

Since then, huge transformations have occurred and according to the government estimates, most of the Vision’s goals have already been realized but more is yet to come.
