The National Museum in Riyadh is currently hosting the 8th edition of the Joint Archaeological Exhibition of the Arab Gulf States, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Running until December 30, the exhibition highlights the evolution of human civilization in the region across successive eras.

Through a vast array of artifacts, the exhibition charts the Stone Age and the advent of metallurgy in the third millennium BC, along with the pre-Islamic period and the region’s pivotal role in the rise and spread of the Islamic world.

The event also shows stone and pottery tools, inscriptions, early writings, artworks, architectural elements, jewelry, and everyday objects, offering a vivid window into Gulf’s cultural and historical evolution.

The Heritage Commission is organizing the exhibition in cooperation with the National Museum and the Museums Commission and in strategic partnership with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

There, visitors can enjoy daily programs and interactive activities that harness digital technologies and modern media. This contemporary learning experience re-creates historical moments and enriches their understanding of the Arabian Peninsula’s civilizational journey.

Therefore, the event further enhances the region’s cultural identity on both regional and international stages and boosts the long-term sustainability of joint Gulf cooperation in the cultural sphere.
