Arts AlUla has unveiled a contemporary photography exhibition in the Principality of Monaco to showcase the untouched beauty and exceptional heritage of AlUla.
Titled “AlUla: A Tapestry of Creativity,” the exhibition opened to the public on August 3 and will end on September 3, along the Promenade du Larvotto.
The exhibition brings together Saudi and international artists who have been able to capture the vibrant culture, rich history and enchanting landscapes of AlUla. Furthermore, it includes 23 photographs taken in AlUla by 8 Saudi and international artists, displayed on 2×3 metre canvases.

The Principality of Monaco is the ideal location for the launch of the first photography exhibition of AlUla art outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as it has long been a center for the arts and a platform for supporting new talents.

“AlUla is a rich source of inspiration for artists from all ages and cultures, and this exhibition is an emphasis on its position as an international hub for the world of art and culture,” said Noura Aldabal, Executive Director of Arts and Creative Industries at the Royal Commission for AlUla.
Aldabal added that the exhibition is a living testament to AlUla’s ability to inspire new generations of local and international artists and highlights their efforts to showcase Saudi art on the international stage.

The ancient city of AlUla has become the first destination in the Middle East to earn the Destinations International Accreditation. The announcement, made by the USA based global association for destination professionals came this month during the Destinations International Annual Convention in Florida.
This remarkable milestone comes only a year after AlUla made history by becoming the first member of Destinations International from the Middle East.

Located in the Hejaz, the ancient city of AlUla is one of the most innovative and captivating destinations in the world. It dates back millennia with blooming civilizations and several cultural and heritage treasures.
AlUla is a destination of a global significance with 200,000 years of human history and culture at the crossroads of ancient civilizations.

After years of being closed to outsiders, AlUla starts to reveal its secrets and outstanding cultural heritage. The ancient desert oasis officially opened to international travelers full-time in 2020.
Interestingly, Saudi Arabia is now welcoming tourists with open arms and an eVisa process that only takes five minutes.
