AlUla Hotels, Restaurants Recognized in  Michelin Guide 2025

AlUla has further solidified its reputation as a world-class destination for hospitality and gastronomy, with several of its hotels and restaurants featured in the prestigious Michelin Guide 2025. This recognition highlights the exceptional quality, authenticity, and creativity that define AlUla’s unique guest experiences.

Reflecting the spirit and heritage of the region, AlUla’s hospitality scene blends excellence in service with the warmth of Saudi culture and the richness of local tradition.

Among the Michelin Guide Hotels, Banyan Tree AlUla received One Michelin Key, an honor reserved for hotels offering outstanding levels of hospitality and service. Set amidst the dramatic sandstone formations of Ashar Valley, the resort embodies refined luxury in harmony with nature—offering a serene retreat that fuses contemporary elegance with a deep sense of place. Banyan Tree AlUla is also among the first seven hotels in Saudi Arabia to earn this prestigious distinction.

The Chedi Hegra, the first hotel in the world located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was highlighted as one of the Michelin Guide’s notable new destinations. Occupying restored heritage landmarks such as the historic railway station and Hegra Fort, the hotel seamlessly integrates preserved mudbrick and stone structures with modern design. The result is a stay that bridges timeless Nabataean heritage with contemporary comfort.

Also featured is Dar Tantora The House Hotel, an eco-conscious boutique property in AlUla Old Town—an area known for its narrow alleyways, mudbrick houses, and ancient fortress. Each building has been carefully restored to preserve its historic integrity, creating an intimate hospitality experience rooted in authenticity. Previously recognized by TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places 2024, Dar Tantora stands as one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant heritage-led hospitality projects.

The selection further includes Our Habitas AlUla, a pioneer in sustainable luxury and wellness, and Caravan by Habitas AlUla, which offers an adventure-inspired escape under AlUla’s starry desert skies—blending simplicity, nature, and understated luxury.

In the Michelin Guide Restaurants category, Joontos at Dar Tantora The House Hotel earned the Bib Gourmand award, celebrating its exceptional cuisine and outstanding value. The restaurant reimagines traditional Saudi flavors with contemporary flair, offering a dining experience that beautifully expresses local culture through innovation and artistry.

Harrat at Banyan Tree AlUla—renowned for its elevated Saudi-inspired cuisine—and Tama at Our Habitas AlUla—celebrated for its farm-to-table concept using fresh, locally sourced ingredients—also received special recognition for their culinary excellence and contribution to AlUla’s vibrant and evolving dining scene.

This milestone reaffirms AlUla’s status as one of the region’s most captivating destinations for world-class hospitality and gastronomy, set against a backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
