Saudi Red Sea Authority, Fincantieri Foster Coastal Tourism Activities

The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Fincantieri to manage and support coastal tourism activities in Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The agreement will enable both SRSA and Fincantieri, a pioneering company in the maritime industry, to boost the sustainable growth of the coastal tourism sector across the whole Kingdom.

Signed by SRSA CEO Mohammed Al-Nasser and Fincantieri CEO and Managing Director Pierroberto Folgiero, the partnership seeks to develop coastal tourism and protect marine ecosystems and natural resources at the same time.

To this end, both entities are dedicated to maintaining maritime safety and security, promoting marina infrastructure, and collaborating in research and innovation in advanced marine technologies.

Importantly, the agreement aligns with SRSA’s mission to preserve the marine environment, set standards and regulations for coastal marinas, and leverage international best practices to boost coastal tourism.

Therefore, the deal reflects the authority’s commitment to accelerating progress through promising partnerships with the public and private sectors both locally and globally.

The authority is currently expanding strategic alliances, sharing expertise, and employing global practices that focus on regenerative tourism and sustainable growth.

These efforts aim primarily to position the Red Sea as a prestigious destination that offers unparalleled experiences while preserving its untouched environment.
