The ninth Al-Atawilah Heritage Festival concluded in Al-Qura Governorate as part of the Al-Baha Summer 2026 program, drawing residents and visitors to a diverse celebration of the region’s cultural heritage.
Held over several days, the festival featured a broad program of cultural, heritage and entertainment activities that offered visitors an insight into traditional life and the customs that have shaped the region’s identity.
Live demonstrations highlighted various aspects of local heritage, including traditional household practices and historic farming methods involving wooden plows pulled by animals.
The program also recreated traditional house-building techniques and featured the preparation of authentic local dishes. Dedicated handicraft areas gave artisans an opportunity to display their skills and products while engaging with visitors.
Traditional games and folkloric performances added to the festival’s atmosphere, providing an engaging glimpse into the arts, customs and heritage traditions preserved and passed down through generations.
