The Franchise Tour Exhibition opened in the Al-Baha region, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, known as Monsha’at, in partnership with the Al-Baha Chamber and in cooperation with several government and financing entities. The opening was attended by the Acting Deputy Emir of Al-Baha for Development Affairs, Rajab Al-Zahrani, Chairman of the Al-Baha Chamber Board Mashi bin Mohammed Al-Omari, and Chairman of the National Franchise Committee at the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Khalid Al-Ghamdi.

The first day featured a series of specialized workshops, beginning with a session on the legal aspects of franchising, followed by a workshop on how to become an accredited franchisor, and then another on the financing services offered by the Social Development Bank to the franchise sector.

The program also included a dialogue session on the role of franchising in supporting the local economy and the main investment opportunities and government services available, in addition to two workshops on brand marketing mechanisms and on preparing operational manuals for brands.
Monsha’at spokesperson Badr Al-Qadi said the Franchise Tour in Al-Baha aims to raise awareness of the franchising concept, its system, and its implementing regulations, while connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and businesses with relevant entities to support expansion and investment opportunities and contribute to the development of the franchise sector and its share in GDP.

He added that the tour includes an exhibition featuring more than 20 franchising brands, along with financing and enabling entities, dialogue sessions, specialized workshops, and advisory sessions delivered by experts and specialists. This, he said, gives visitors the chance to learn about investment opportunities as well as the legal, operational, and marketing aspects of franchising, while benefiting from supporting programs and services.

Al-Qadi noted that the tour serves as a platform bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, franchisors, and supporting and financing bodies, helping to build investment partnerships, assess available opportunities, and benefit from specialized consultations and financing and empowerment programs. He said this contributes to the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and supports expansion through the franchise model.
