
The UIM E1 World Championship will make a return to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in January, as the Red Sea city is set to host the inaugural race of the renowned championship.
E1 World Championship, the world’s first and only all-electric raceboat championship, will make its debut in the incredible Jeddah Corniche on January 24-25, 2025, for the first race of its second season.
Besides Jeddah, the E1 World championship will travel across multiple continents, with stops at some of the world’s most fascinating cities in seven countries. The first season of E1 featured races in stunning cities such as Venice, Monaco, Puerto Banus and Lake Como.
The Saudi Water Sports and Diving Federation is organizing this spectacular event, under the supervision of the Saudi Ministry of Sport, and in collaboration with the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM).
The much-awaited boat racing event will feature competitions among 9 teams owned by some of the biggest names in the world. These include Will Smith, Marc Anthony and Steve Aoki from the world of entertainment, Rafael Nadal, Sergio Perez, Tom Brady, Virat Kohli and Didier Drogba from the world of sport and Marcelo Claure from the world of entrepreneurship.
Each team will have male and female pilots sharing the driving duties, in a thrilling boat racing experience taking place close to the charming waters of the Red Sea.
The inaugural season of E1 World Championship saw a heightened competition among NFL legend Tom Brady’s Team Brady, Will Smith-owned Westbrook Racing team and Marc Anthony’s Team Miami. In the end, Team Brady emerged the winner.
