Under the patronage of Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region, the region is hosting the Al-Baha Cycling Tour, organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport branch in Al-Baha Region and featuring more than 130 cyclists.
The tour is part of the Al-Baha Summer 2026 programs and events, with competitions scheduled from July 30 to August 3 over a total distance of more than 370 kilometers. It brings together riders in a sporting event that combines endurance competition with tourism and community engagement.

The program includes sightseeing rides through several governorates as well as tourist and historical sites across the region, giving participants the chance to discover Al-Baha’s natural and heritage attractions while enjoying its moderate climate and scenic landscapes. The route is designed to highlight the region’s distinctive geography and its suitability for cycling.

Beyond the sporting competition itself, the tour also aims to promote sports tourism and draw attention to Al-Baha’s mountain routes and diverse natural environment. It further seeks to encourage a culture of regular physical activity and inspire community members to adopt healthier lifestyles.

The event comes as part of broader efforts to strengthen Al-Baha’s position as a summer destination with a mix of tourism, recreation and outdoor sports. By combining cycling with visits to historic and scenic locations, the tour adds a community-focused dimension to the region’s seasonal program.
