The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has commended the unparalleled efficiency of the Kingdom’s air traffic management amid the recent geopolitical developments across the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) has received a letter of appreciation and a commemorative plaque in recognition of its exceptional performance in dealing with increased air traffic while maintaining uninterrupted operations with minimal disruption.
Through the efficient management of air traffic and reorganization of flight routes with a high level of professionalism, SANS contributed to strengthening the resilience of the Kingdom’s airspace and limiting operational disruptions for airlines despite the exceptional circumstances affecting the region, IATA said.
The association also praised the aviation sector’s unique operational readiness and its capacity to ensure uninterrupted air traffic flow and continuity, while adhering to the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency.
