SDAIA Advances National Efforts to Develop Data, AI Talent

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is continuing its efforts to develop national capabilities in data and artificial intelligence, supported by the Kingdom’s leadership’s focus on empowering citizens with the skills and tools needed for the future.

These efforts align with the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a global leader in advanced technologies and accelerate the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

As the Kingdom prepares for the Year of Artificial Intelligence 2026, SDAIA is expanding a range of specialized programs and initiatives that support the Human Capability Development Program, one of the key pillars of Saudi Vision 2030.

To date, more than 1.56 million citizens have benefited from SDAIA’s training programs, including 14,495 specialists and experts in data and AI. The authority has also provided training for more than 278 government leaders in these fields.

In addition, SDAIA launched the second phase of the “SAMAI” initiative in partnership with 11 ministries, aiming to equip government employees with the practical skills needed to use artificial intelligence technologies effectively and responsibly.

These initiatives form part of SDAIA’s broader strategy to cultivate a generation capable of driving innovation, advancing technological self-sufficiency, and shaping the future of the digital economy.

Collectively, these efforts reinforce Saudi Arabia’s standing among the world’s leading nations in data and artificial intelligence, while supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development, build a knowledge- and data-based economy, and enhance the Kingdom’s global competitiveness in AI.
