Riyadh University of Arts Supports Saudi Vision 2030 Cultural Ambitions

Saudi Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan announced that applications for Riyadh University of Arts will open in May, with the inaugural academic term set to commence in September, according to Arab News.

Prince Badr, who also serves as chairman of the university’s board of trustees, said the institution seeks to become a leading center for cultural education in the Kingdom.

In line with the Saudi Vision 2030, the university will provide a wide range of academic specializations designed to empower students and enrich the creative industries, while also advancing Saudi Arabia’s cultural scene.

Prince Badr also noted that the launch of the university represents a significant milestone in the development of the Kingdom’s cultural sector and a cornerstone for creative education and cultural innovation.

Located in Riyadh, the university will welcome students in September across four founding colleges, Music, Film, Theatre and Performing Arts, and Cultural Management, offering eight academic programs, with plans for phased expansion to 13 colleges.
