Red Sea International Opens Equinox Amaala, Marking Brand’s First Resort Outside US

Red Sea International has opened Equinox Amaala in The Marina village, the second Equinox-branded resort worldwide and the first outside the United States, introducing the brand’s signature blend of performance-driven luxury and wellness to the Red Sea coast.
The resort comprises 128 rooms and suites across six accommodation categories, including two penthouse suites, along with 21 branded residences. Designed by Foster + Partners with interiors by Rockwell Group, the architecture draws inspiration from the Red Sea shoreline, its marine ecosystem and the surrounding mountains.
John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea International, said: “The opening of Equinox Amaala adds a new and unique dimension to the destination’s wellness offering. Equinox has built its global reputation on a high-performance lifestyle, and bringing that expertise to Amaala reinforces our ambition to create a destination where wellness, sport and luxury truly converge in a different way.”
Central to the guest experience is Amaala’s largest fitness facility, spanning 704 square metres of indoor and outdoor training space, alongside a 1,602-square-metre wellness centre anchored by the exclusive Equinox X Circuit—a seven-station renewal journey that combines advanced technology with personalized care. Moreover, treatments include cryotherapy, infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hydrotherapy and thermal contrast therapies.

Guests have access to four outdoor pools, headlined by a rooftop pool with magnesium-rich waters overlooking Triple Bay, Amaala Marina and the Amaala Yacht Club. Dining is centered on nutritious cuisine with a touch of indulgence, offered through four concepts: Mint & Co, Soho Souq, Soma Eye and EQX Den.

Equinox Amaala joins a growing collection of luxury hospitality brands defining Amaala, a destination dedicated to wellness, sport, culture and lifestyle. Upon completion, Amaala will feature more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts, alongside globally branded residences, world-class wellness facilities, a yacht marina and a curated selection of retail and dining experiences.

The destination sits on the Kingdom’s northwestern coast, 45 minutes by electric vehicle or 20 minutes by seaplane from The Red Sea International Airport, which operates regular flights from Riyadh and Jeddah.
