The Municipality of Al-Baha has launched the “Al-Baha Green Hour” initiative to advance the ambitious objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative that aims to reduce carbon emissions and drive sustainability efforts across the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

For one hour, non-essential lighting was switched off across 28 buildings and 40 secondary streets, as well as participation from multiple residential neighborhoods and houses.
However, essential safety lighting remained in operation to ensure public security.

The initiative seeks to promote public awareness of energy conservation and ignite community engagement in environmental protection, while leading sustainability goals and enhancing overall quality of life.
These efforts reflect the municipality’s commitment to elevating the urban landscape and diving the Kingdom’s sustainable future.
