Al-Baha Municipality Prepares More Than 140 Parks, Recreational Areas for Saudi National Day

Al-Baha Municipality and its affiliated municipalities have completed preparations to celebrate Saudi National Day by readying more than 140 parks and recreational areas and decorating roads and public squares with national-themed displays. The preparations also include a range of accompanying programs and activities organized in cooperation with government and private-sector entities, as well as nonprofit organizations.

Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, Secretary of the Al-Baha Region, said the municipality and its affiliated municipalities began preparations early. They have equipped parks, recreational areas, and public facilities, installed more than 50,000 national flags and 85 structures and features reflecting the national identity, activated more than 100 digital screens and billboards, and prepared more than 10,000 national gifts for residents and visitors.

He added that the celebration plan includes the participation of more than 500 volunteers through more than 25 volunteer opportunities, with the involvement of over 30 entities and partners. It also includes 65 accompanying programs and activities organized in partnership with more than 20 entities.

Al-Sawat said these efforts reflect the municipality’s commitment, together with its affiliated municipalities, to preparing public sites and facilities for the national occasion, enhancing community participation, and showcasing the celebrations across the cities and governorates of the region.
