63rd Edition of Damascus International Fair Opens with Participation from Around 60 Countries

The 63rd edition of the Damascus International Fair opened yesterday under the slogan “Syria Rises Anew,” with participation from nearly 1,000 entities from 60 countries.

The Syrian Arab News Agency reported that the fair, which runs until September 4, has dedicated its first three days to businessmen, investors and official delegations, with the aim of enhancing economic meetings, building partnerships, signing agreements and achieving tangible economic results. The edition also features a diverse program of economic, cultural, social and national events.

According to data from the Syrian Company for Exhibitions and International Markets, affiliated with Syria’s Ministry of Economy and Industry, participation includes local, Arab and international companies; ministries, public bodies and institutions; chambers of commerce and business councils; local and international pavilions; as well as service, investment and craft entities.

The 62nd edition of the fair, held in 2025, recorded attendance of 2.261 million visitors, while the value of contracts and agreements concluded during the event exceeded 935 billion Syrian pounds.

The Damascus International Fair has been held in the Syrian capital since 1954 and is among the oldest international fairs in the Middle East. Over the decades, it has evolved into a prominent economic and cultural event in the region, attracting millions of visitors annually.
