The Riyadh Municipality has secured a three-year membership for the city of Riyadh in the International Society of City and Regional Planners, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
This remarkable achievement came during an official visit by a municipal delegation to ISOCARP’s headquarters in The Hague, sought to strengthen Riyadh’s presence within global urban planning networks.
During the visit, Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Saleh Al-Saif, head of the delegation, formally received the membership certificate.

Through a wide range of specialized sessions, the program delved into urban transformation and the exchange of planning expertise.
It also featured field visits to multiple leading urban development projects across the Netherlands.
These activities provided the Saudi delegation an opportunity to leverage international best practices and boost knowledge exchange in the fields of urban planning and development.
Riyadh’s participation in the event reflects its expanding role in shaping the future cities and supports its engagement with international platforms dedicated to urban planning and innovation.
