AlUla, Saudi Arabia’s ancient oasis city, is gearing up for a spectacular racing event, as AlUla Desert Blaze will return for a third edition in August.
From August 15-16, 2025, runners will engage in the Kingdom’s most extreme race, experiencing unparalleled levels of thrill, excitement and endurance under the scorching heat of summer.

AlUla Desert Blaze offers an exceptional opportunity for participants to explore the marvels of Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, from the natural landscapes to the unique landmarks, such as the historic city of Hegra and the iconic Maraya building.
The rugged mountain trails of AlUla will create a challenging adventure for runners, who will have the chance to compete across four race categories: 5 KM, 10 KM, Half Marathon (21 KM), and Full Marathon (42 KM).
Participants aged 16 and above are eligible for the 5 KM and 10 KM races, while individuals aged 18 and above can participate in the Half and Full Marathons.

Runners from across the globe gather in AlUla each year to take part in AlUla Desert Blaze, testing their stamina, spirit and resilience. The ancient oasis city has proved perfect for this extreme race event, with its rugged mountains, vast deserts, and scorching summer temperatures.
Moreover, AlUla has solidified itself as a premier hub for major racing events and adventure sport. It has hosted several races, such as AlUla Trail Race, AlFursan Endurance AlUla, and Arabian Warrior AlUla.
