Saudi Arabia Launches Tawakkalna Service for Reporting Suspicious Aerial Activity
The Saudi Ministry of Defense has launched a new feature within the Tawakkalna app, encouraging citizens and residents to report potential aerial threats, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
With this new service, citizens and residents throughout the Kingdom will have a platform to report any concerning aerial sightings, such as missiles or drones.
The new Tawakkalna service is designed to facilitate rapid reporting and ensure an immediate response to safeguard the nation and its strategic resources.
On this occasion, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, stated that the service strengthens the collaboration between the public and the military, highlighting the essential role individuals play in national defense.
Furthermore, Al-Maliki asserted that the Saudi Armed Forces are equipped with the sophisticated technology required to intercept and neutralize any hostile aerial actions or threats directed at the country.
He described the ability for the public to report potential threats via Tawakkalna as a “qualitative leap” in using modern technology to involve the community in threat detection.
Moreover, Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Saudi Minister of Defense, reinforced the idea that citizens are fundamental partners in the defense of the Kingdom.
“Citizens are partners in defending the homeland through their awareness and vigilance against all threats, and we urge them to report any sightings of missiles or drones, via the ‘Tawakkalna’ app,” he said in a statement on X.
