This achievement marks a major stride toward establishing Saudi Arabia’s status in the global cinema industry. The Saudi production – the largest in the history of the Arab cinema, with a budget nearing $40 million – eclipsed previous records achieved by the James Bond series.

In the explosion scene, 7 DOGS used 170.7 tons of TNT, smashing the 68.47 tons of TNT equivalent achieved by SPECTRE (2015). It also surpassed No Time to Die (2021) record of 136.4 kg of TNT, with 405.85 kg of TNT for 7 DOGS.

On this occasion, Al Al-Sheikh thanked the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, for his support that enabled this huge success. He also thanked the Saudi security agencies for their collaboration.

7 DOGS marks the first film to be shot at Al-Hisn Big Time Studios in Riyadh, under the sponsorship of GEA and Riyadh Season. It is a production of Saudi company Sela, in cooperation with Ivan Atkinson.

The film, written by Al Al-Sheikh and directed by Adil El-Arabi and Bilall Fallah, brings together a selection of iconic Arab and international stars, such as Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Nasser Algassabi, Monica Bellucci and Salman Khan. It will be released in the Kingdom and across the world before the end of this year.
