As part of Riyadh Season 2025, the WWE SmackDown show attracted large crowds to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the SmackDown show premiered in Saudi Arabia’s capital, bringing together a host of WWE superstars in a thrilling challenge.
The SmackDown show kicked off with an exciting clash between WWE superstars Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, who engaged in an enthusiastic interactive moment.
Moreover, the show featured a series of thrilling challenges, including the WWE United States Women’s Championship, where Julia took on Zelina Vega, securing the title for the third time in her career.
In the Last Woman Standing show, Tiffany Stratton held onto her title after a brutal fight against Nia Jax that saw action inside and outside the ring.
With regards to tag team competitions, The Street Profits and The Wyatt Sicks fought an intense battle that ended without a winner, sparking excitement among audiences.
Furthermore, the duo Andrea and Rena Faklis secured a significant win against the “DIY” team, in a show that captivated audiences.
The Kingdom Arena will also host the WWE Night of Champions on June 28, 2025, featuring a unique series of spectacular challenges.
By hosting WWE major events, Saudi Arabia has consolidated its status as a leading entertainment destination. The Kingdom has hosted several WWE competitions, such as WWE Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King and Queen of the Ring, Night of Champions, in addition to SmackDown and Monday Night RAW shows.
Furthermore, Riyadh Season will host the 39th edition of the Royal Rumble event in January 2026, in a landmark collaboration between WWE and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA).
