
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque employs the finest, highest-quality materials to produce the Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba—continuing a tradition of meticulous craftsmanship that spans over a century.

The Authority highlights that seven distinct fabrics are supplied to the Kiswa Factory, including:
- Plain green silk (used behind the curtain)
- Patterned black silk
- Plain black silk
- Beige cotton (used as lining for the Kaaba cloth)
- Plain red silk
- White cotton fabric
- Patterned green silk (used for the inner lining of the Kaaba and the covering of the Prophet’s Chamber)
These carefully selected textiles reflect the sanctity and historical significance of the Kiswa’s creation.
