Makkah’s iconic clock tower has opened an interesting restaurant overlooking the Grand Mosque offering an extraordinary iftar experience during Ramadan.
Guests can break their Ramadan fast with delicious dishes and a stunning view of Islam’s holiest site.
The restaurant provides both iftar and sahoor meals, according to Arab News.
“We are providing guests a unique opportunity to dine at Makkah’s highest point, directly beneath the clock, with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Grand Mosque and the Holy Kaaba,” Mohammed bin Youssef Makhtoom, e-marketing manager at the Fairmont hotel, said.
A well-trained team has arranged the restaurant in a way that perfectly mirrors the sanctity of both the location and the holy month.
The restaurant features Ramadan-inspired decorations to add a special touch to the venue’s spiritual ambiance.
As for dishes, the menu features traditional Arab and Saudi dishes including quzi, grilled specialties and soups, alongside seafood and Ramadan desserts.
Moreover, the menu involves several international options cater to diverse tastes, as well as vegetarian and health-conscious selections.
“Guest feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” Makhtoom said. “Many describe their experience as unforgettable, with the combination of luxury service, spiritual atmosphere and direct views of the Grand Mosque creating truly memorable moments,” Makhtoom said.
Guests can also have access to the Clock Tower Museum, an educational center operated by the Misk nonprofit organization.
