Jakarta’s Jusoor Exhibition: Celebrating Legacy of Islamic Mosques

Saudi Arabia’s pavilion at the Jusoor Exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia, has captured the attention of several visitors by displaying the historic mosques in Makkah and Madinah, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The pavilion showed a fine selection of illustrated panels and documented information on the mosques that played a pivotal role in the Islamic history, as follows:

  • Quba Mosque: The first mosque established in Islam
  • Al-Qiblatain Mosque: Allah sent the command to change the qibla (direction of prayer) to Prophet Muhammad in this mosque.
  • Al-Jum’ah Mosque: It marked the first Friday prayer of the Prophet.
  • Other historically significant mosques such as the Mosque of Miqat (Dhu al-Hulayfah)
