King Salman Reserve Highlights Green Wins for Environment Week 2025

As part of the national Environment Week 2025, the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority is spotlighting its significant contributions to environmental preservation and sustainability.

Key milestones include the planting of over three million seedlings, the dispersal of more than four tons of native seeds, and the rehabilitation of 700,000 hectares of natural habitat. The authority has also made strides in wildlife conservation, successfully reintroducing more than 1,455 animals and documenting 177 new wildlife births, including endangered species such as the sand gazelle, Arabian oryx, and mountain ibex.

At the event’s exhibition, the authority’s pavilion offers visitors an immersive look into the reserve’s rich biodiversity—home to more than 350 species of wildlife and 290 species of birds. The display also emphasizes ongoing efforts to protect the environment, support ecosystem sustainability, and foster public awareness and community involvement in safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s natural heritage.
