Jazan Region has been a promising destination for rural agricultural tourism experiences in Ramadan, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The region boasts a distinctive blend between sustainable farming and recreational activities. At the same time, it provides an unconventional alternative to the traditional increase in restaurant and cafe visits during Ramadan.

Despite the fact that restaurants and cafes dominate the list of tourist destinations during the holy month, rural farms have attracted several visitors through their tourist attractions.
The farms offer unparalleled tourist experiences such as nature walks, tasting local farm produce, and directly purchasing and participating in the harvest of fresh produce.

In an interview with SPA at Al-Full (Jasmine) rural farm in Damad Governorate, Cooperative Agri-Rural Tourism Association (Refena) Chairman Eng. Radhi Al-Fraidi stated that the farm served as a natural retreat during Ramadan.
The farm provides a peaceful respite from urban life through its affordable, community-prepared meals amid jasmine groves.

Spanning over 135,000 square meters, Al-Full features 100,000 trees and shrubs, including 12,000 jasmine trees, and produces jasmine-based products.
Crucially, the initiative aims to support sustainable agriculture and create local employment opportunities.

Meanwhile, Ramadan iftars at the farm evoke memories of rural life in the Jazan region and ignites nostalgia for those beautiful days.
Currently, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is supporting the region’s rural tourism and strengthening its potential for sustainable rural development.
