Layali Al-Qaisariyah Festival 2026 has kicked off in Al-Ahsa, launching a cultural extravaganza that revives the region’s heritage.

Inaugurated by the Governor of Al-Ahsa, Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, the festival has brought a wide range of cultural activities to the renowned historic Al-Qaisariah Souq in Al-Hofuf, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Inspired by Al-Ahsa’s authentic heritage, the festival’s activities immerse visitors in folk arts, live performances, community gatherings, traditional games and interactive family activities.

Moreover, Layali Al-Qaisariyah Festival 2026 offers a comprehensive program, including curated tourism paths through the souq, theatrical performances that recreate ancient commercial life, and creative workshops for children and youth.

These initiatives are designed to transfer ancestral skills to the next generation and bolster the sustainability of local crafts, making Al-Ahsa’s cultural legacy an interactive experience for all.

In light of this, Al-Ahsa’s Governor appreciated the unwavering support provided by the Saudi leadership, which has been key to transforming historical sites into vibrant platforms.

He also highlighted that festivals like Layali Al-Qaisariyah strengthen national identity, ensuring that Al-Ahsa’s rich historical legacy remains deeply connected to future generations.

Importantly, he spotlighted Al-Qaisariyah Souq’s historical significance as one of the most prominent landmarks in Al-Ahsa, with a history dating back over 200 years that represents a deep-rooted economic, social, and cultural legacy.

The Governor also noted that the festival aims to drive tourism growth and elevate Al-Ahsa’s status on the global cultural map.
