The Saudi Film Commission is currently taking part in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2025 in Annecy, France, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Set to run from June 8 to 14, the festival represents one of the world’s most prominent events in the animation field.

By participating in the festival, the commission aims to foster the presence of Saudi animation in European forums and keep a close eye on the latest trends.

To this end, the Saudi delegation included members from the commission along with a group of Saudi animation filmmakers, who were selected based on their production of animated works during 2024.

Interestingly, the event offered a valuable platform for Saudi delegation to enhance communication with animation creators from various backgrounds and leverage from the accompanying training programs.

Moreover, the event serves as a prestigious platform for creative collaboration, co-production opportunities, as well as professional dialogue.

This participation plays a significant role in boosting distribution and exhibition channels and flourishing the animation sector at a local level.

Therefore, it stands as a living proof of the Kingdom’s pursuit of being a leading voice in the global cinema and animation industries.
