The Saudi Fashion Commission announced the launch of the Riyadh Fashion District, a new project aimed at empowering creative industries and bolstering the Kingdom’s fashion sector.
The Commission signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Four Directions Real Estate Development Company, on the sidelines of the 5th edition of the Real Estate Future Forum in Riyadh.
The Fashion District is an integrated fashion destination designed to support creative industries and cement Riyadh’s status as a regional and global hub for the cultural economy.
This strategic project aims to develop the fashion ecosystem by covering the entire value chain, including manufacturing, education, and retail. It will host world-class fashion show venues, creative design and production studios, and incubators for emerging talents and brands.
Moreover, the Fashion District will feature hospitality facilities and workspaces, attracting investments while keeping pace with the rapid evolution of the fashion industry on both a local and global scale.
Although the District’s official location has been disclosed so far, the Fashion Commission indicated that it will likely be situated in the vicinity of King Saud University. The project is tentatively slated for completion by 2028, though development timelines remain subject to adjustment.

This collaboration aligns with the Fashion Commission’s strategy to catalyze investment through high-impact initiatives. By launching projects that expand education and provide new design stages, the Commission is building a more robust environment for fashion innovation and commercial success.
“Fashion District is not simply an urban development project. It is an integrated ecosystem that supports the fashion value chain, opens new opportunities for creativity and investment, and reinforces Riyadh’s position as a global hub for the creative economy,” Fashion Commission CEO, Burak Cakmak, said.
