Expo 2030 Riyadh Company has selected Buro Happold to develop the event’s detailed master plan, encompassing infrastructure design, landscaping, and facilities. As lead consultant, Buro Happold will also guide efforts to ensure a sustainable long-term legacy for the site.
This collaboration represents a significant milestone and underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to delivering an extraordinary and unprecedented World Expo.
Under the agreement, Buro Happold will provide comprehensive services to shape the detailed master plan, aligning it with the Expo’s operational needs and post-event sustainability goals. Their scope includes detailed infrastructure and facilities design, landscape development, coordination of outdoor spaces, and ongoing engineering and technical support throughout construction. Moreover, these efforts will help ensure the Expo 2030 site meets the highest standards of innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Expo 2030 Riyadh is projected to welcome approximately 197 participating countries and more than 42 million visits across its nearly six-million-square-meter site. The event will also offer a global platform for addressing shared challenges and presenting groundbreaking solutions that support a more sustainable future.
