Crafts Event Concludes at Hira Cultural District with Engaging Heritage Activities

The Hira Cultural District in Makkah wrapped up its crafts event yesterday after five days of vibrant cultural and heritage programming that drew a wide range of visitors. The event highlighted traditional Saudi handicrafts and underscored their role in shaping community identity.

Running from November 22–26, the event offered an array of activities, including competitions, prize giveaways, traditional foods, and family-friendly interactive games—creating a festive atmosphere that blended enjoyment with learning.

One of the standout features was the “Little Artisan Workshop,” where children and families had the chance to explore traditional handicrafts. Participants learned the art of Sadu weaving, turning colorful threads into culturally inspired woven pieces.
