The Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and President of the Saudi Boxing Federation, Turki Al Al-Sheikh, has announced a thrilling event for the upcoming Riyadh Season. Boxing enthusiasts are in for an exciting showdown as the “Ring V: Night of the Samurai” will take place on December 27, 2025 in Saudi Arabia’s capital, as part of Riyadh Season 2025.
Taking place at the Mohammed Abdo Arena, the event will bring together boxing superstars from Japan and Latin America. The main card will feature a much-awaited showdown between Japanese unified super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue and Mexican contender Alan Picasso Romero.
Inoue is one of only three male boxers in history to become the undisputed champion in two weight classes, while Picasso is the holder of the WBC Silver super-bantamweight championship.

The “Ring V: Night of the Samurai” event will also see another action-packed Japanese-Cuban fight in the lightweight division, featuring Taiga Imanaga vs Armando Martinez.
Moreover, a dynamic showdown will take place between Reito Tsutsumi and Mexico’s Leobardo Quintana. The event will also see an electrifying face-off between Hayato Tsutsumi and Britain’s James Dickens.
The DAZN platform will live-stream the event worldwide, alongside an exclusive broadcast on Lemino in Japan, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
