Located along the corniche of Al-Khobar, Bayfront beach has acquired an international recognition as Saudi Arabia’s first beach to meet the globally recognized Blue Flag standards, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Such standards feature several factors including environmental management, safety, and service quality.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for the Kingdom’s objective of creating comprehensive and sustainable development.
Standing as an integral part of a larger investment project, the beach represents one of the significant initiatives of the Eastern Region Municipality.
This initiative aims mainly to promote life quality, develop waterfront destinations and provide visitors with unforgettable recreational and tourism experiences.

Mayor of the Eastern Province Municipality Fahad Al Jubair stated that the Bayfront project reflects the support and efforts of both the Saudi leadership and the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. Al Jubair also noted the project’s central role in boosting tourism and supporting the local economy.

Bayfront Al-Khobar serves as a home to several retail stores including restaurants, leisure and recreational features, and more within an area of 100,000 square meters from the shore and a 1,600-square-metre island.
