Saudi Arabia is participating in the Bologna International Book Fair 2025, taking place at the Bologna Fiere Exhibition Center in Italy, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission has inaugurated the Kingdom’s pavilion at the major cultural event, running from March 31 to April 3, 2025, to showcase the evolution of the Saudi cultural scene.
In the light of this, the Commission’s CEO, Abdullatif Al-Wasel, said that Saudi Arabia’s participation in the Bologna International Book Fair 2025 focuses on highlighting various initiatives and programs aimed at bolstering the publishing sector and cultural engagement.
He also noted that these efforts include enhancing the global presence of Saudi publishing houses and literary agents, displaying Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural legacy and literary heritage, and showcasing the Kingdom’s local literary output.
Moreover, Al-Wasel emphasized that the Bologna Book Fair provides an exceptional opportunity for Saudi publishers to communicate and exchange knowledge with their international counterparts, further enhancing the Saudi publishing industry.
Several Saudi cultural institutions are taking part in the Bologna Book Fair 2025, led by the Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission. These include the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz Public Library, King Fahd National Library, and the Publishing Association.
