Fashion Commission Issues “Guideline for Exporting Fashion Products”

The Fashion Commission has announced the release of its new guide, “The Fashion Export Guide”, which aims to provide fashion industry professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to export fashion products to various international markets while maintaining high standards of sustainability.

The guide is divided into four main categories to ensure ease of use and maximum benefit to users, providing product-focused export procedures, and highlights major exporting countries for fashion products and potential future global export destinations, providing insights into market requirements.

The guide covers specific requirements for fashion products in three vital areas: detailed information on mandatory labelling standards for exported fashion products, guidance to ensure products meet international safety and quality standards, and best practices for sustainability within the fashion sector, promoting environmentally friendly production.

The “Fashion Export Guide” targets a wide range of industry professionals, including garment manufacturers, jewellery makers, footwear producers, accessories makers, perfume producers, fashion designers and commercial sectors interested in exporting their products.
