The King Abdullah Gardens (KAGA) has achieved a significant milestone with construction progressing swiftly in Riyadh’s key environmental and urban development initiative, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Having completed major structural elements and key facilities, the project aims to transform Riyadh’s urban landscape, expanding green spaces and promoting the city’s overall quality of life.
Spanning more than two million square meters, the King Abdullah Gardens (KAGA) represents one of the world’s three largest covered botanical gardens.

The site features a vast array of environments from water and desert landscapes to vibrant floral gardens. KAGA also boasts specialized zones for birds, reptiles, and children’s activities.
To further boost its scientific and educational significance, the project incorporates a botanical museum and a gene bank, while also offering integrated recreational amenities, including a scenic valley promenade, observation towers, and event spaces.

The experience is further supported by cafés, markets, and playgrounds, providing an all-encompassing environment that encourages visitors to connect with nature.
The KAGA project reflects Riyadh’s broader development vision, creating a sustainable urban destination that blends environmental, cultural, and educational experiences.
