Riyadh Air started selling tickets on Monday for its new three-times-weekly non-stop service between Riyadh and Jakarta. This marks a key move as the carrier extends its footprint across Asia.
Flights commence on 16 November 2026, making Jakarta the 16th destination open for booking on Riyadh Air’s network. The airline says more routes expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Moreover, the route bolsters air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia—Southeast Asia’s largest economy. It also broadens opportunities for travel, tourism and business. This aligns with Riyadh Air’s strategy to link the Kingdom to major global hubs via Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas described the Jakarta ticket launch as another significant milestone in the airline’s rapid Asian expansion and the ongoing growth of its global network.
Furthermore, he said the new direct link will support growth in business, tourism and travel. Douglas added that it will offer seamless access for passengers from Indonesia to the Kingdom and to Riyadh Air’s expanding network through Riyadh.
The airline will run three weekly flights between King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK). Departures from Riyadh are at 10:50 p.m., arriving in Jakarta at 12:00 p.m. the next day local time; return flights leave Jakarta at 3:00 p.m., reaching Riyadh at 8:15 p.m. local time.
Furthermore, operations will use modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, equipped with the latest cabin designs and inflight experiences.

The non-stop service connects the capitals of two G20 economies as trade, business travel and tourism between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia accelerate.
Bilateral trade reached $6.6 billion in 2025 and $2.6 billion in the first half of 2026 alone. It is driven by automotive trade flows exceeding $1.7 billion a year. Accordingly, this underscores strong business travel between key manufacturing and commercial centres.
