Arts AlUla has launched Arduna (Our Land) as part of the fifth AlUla Arts Festival 2026, marking a pivotal moment in the region’s evolving cultural landscape. The exhibition signals a new chapter in AlUla’s artistic journey and offers an early insight into the vision for the forthcoming Contemporary Art Museum of AlUla.
During the opening, Arts AlUla officially announced the museum’s name and curatorial vision, underscoring its ambition to strengthen AlUla’s presence on the global art stage and position it as a center for contemporary cultural dialogue grounded in its rich heritage. The museum is scheduled to open at a later date.

Developed in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou, Arduna serves as a foundational exhibition for the museum, presenting research-led themes that reflect its philosophical framework and anticipated cultural role.
The Contemporary Art Museum of AlUla is envisioned as a bridge between cultural heritage and contemporary artistic practice, offering a dynamic platform for exhibitions, commissions, research initiatives, and residency programs. Moreover, this integrated ecosystem aims to foster artistic exchange and contribute meaningfully to AlUla’s social and creative fabric.

Featuring more than 80 artworks by Saudi, regional, and international artists, Arduna explores humanity’s evolving relationship with nature. The exhibition also includes newly commissioned works inspired by AlUla’s distinctive landscape, reimagined through contemporary artistic perspectives.
Together, the launch of Arduna and the announcement of the museum represent a significant milestone in AlUla’s cultural development, reaffirming Arts AlUla’s commitment to advancing contemporary art and international cultural exchange.
