Red Sea Global (RSG) has wrapped up the second edition of the “Red Sea Sailing Race” following two days of traditional competitions and vibrant celebrations along Turtle Bay at The Red Sea destination. The closing ceremony was attended by senior company leaders and partners.
According to an RSG press release, this year’s event was held under the theme “Hoist the Sail,” inspired by the sail’s deep cultural significance as a symbol of perseverance, livelihood, and connection across civilizations. The Red Sea waters hosted spirited contests featuring 14 traditional boats in the main race and five in the youth category, with a total of 95 regional sailors showcasing exceptional talent. The strong public and media turnout underscored the destination’s growing prominence in hosting major sporting events.
Turtle Bay Beach came alive as a lively community festival, bringing together families and residents from across the Red Sea region. Visitors enjoyed a range of activities throughout the venue, accompanied by performances from traditional folk bands that celebrated local heritage and blended the excitement of competition with the richness of history.
