The Riyadh region has emerged as a vibrant hub for cultural and entertainment activities this winter, welcoming more than 15.1 million visitors from across the Kingdom and abroad by the end of the third quarter, according to the Saudi Gazette.
This number reflects the capital’s growing position as an attractive center for both commerce and leisure, offering a perfect destination for investors, entrepreneurs, and tourists.
The Saudi Ministry of Tourism data showed that overall visitor spending grew to roughly SR33 billion during the same period, fueled by both domestic and international travelers.
The figures mirror the strong economic impact of Riyadh’s tourism boom in the region.
Ministry data also revealed an 18% increase in total tourist spending compared to the previous period. This rise was driven by the expansion of cultural events and tourism activities, along with notable development and investments in infrastructure, hospitality, and entertainment.
This performance stands as a testament to Riyadh’s broader strategy to foster urban tourism, particularly as seasonal festivals and entertainment experiences are steadily solidifying the capital’s standing as a global destination. This success is further promoting the local economy and stimulating the growth of tourism‑related sectors.
