Film AlUla, Screen International Announce Arab Stars of Tomorrow 2025

Screen International, in collaboration with Film AlUla, has announced the Arab Stars of Tomorrow 2025 at the Red Sea International Film Festival, honoring the most promising cinematic talent of the MENA region, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The initiative celebrated five actors, writers, and directors whose cinematic works represent a turning point in the future of Arab cinema.

Launched nearly a decade ago, the Arab Stars of Tomorrow 2025 boosts the Red Sea International Film Festival’s mission to support young creatives and open new avenues for filmmakers across the region.

The 2025 list boasted a cohort of Arab creators who introduced unique works that significantly address the depth and richness of contemporary Arab storytelling.

These works have shown artistic boldness, a strong connection to local community issues, advanced character development, exploration of heritage, and careful observation of cultural and social shifts across the region.

During the announcement, Film AlUla arranged a special photoshoot at Hegra, the UNESCO World Heritage site in AlUla Governorate, to honor these emerging talents.

Participants also toured Jeddah’s Historic District and attended talks and discussions with industry leaders, further cementing the festival’s role as a catalyst for the growth of Arab cinema.
