The Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMoCA) has hosted a dynamic artistic performance headlined by Nigerian musician Keziah Jones — the pioneer of the “Blufunk” genre, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Held in Diriyah’s JAX District, the event was part of the SAFAR program series, that aims to turn JAX District into a vibrant platform for cultural exchange.
The performance showcases, for the first time, a unique artistic style that goes beyond conventional musical genres.

Through a series of live showcases, the performance played a central role in celebrating creative diversity, strengthening cultural dialogue and opening new avenues for artistic exchange between nations.
SAFAR will also host a training workshop on December 7, exploring the interactive reinterpretation of Arab artistic heritage through modern technologies.

Participants will discover how classical works from the 1950s can be transformed into contemporary electronic audio-visual creations.
The program will conclude the 2025 season on December 8 with a stunning visual performance featuring electronic music and cinematic visual scenes.
