First Direct European Flight Lands at Red Sea International Airport

The first direct European flight has arrived in the Red Sea International Airport (RSI), marking the launch of a new route that bolsters Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 tourism goals.

In a press release, Red Sea Global (RSG) announced that the inaugural flight coming from Milan, Italy, through beOnd, the world’s first premium leisure airline, arrived at the Red Sea International Airport on November 12, 2025.

This new route has established a direct link between Europe and the Kingdom’s Red Sea coast, allowing European travelers to easily access The Red Sea and AMAALA, two of the world’s most exciting luxury and regenerative tourism destinations.

During TOURISE Global Tourism Summit in Riyadh, RSG launched the new route, celebrating collaboration among the strategic partners driving a new era of luxury travel.

In the light of this, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, John Pagano, said: “The launch of this direct route from Milan marks a defining moment for Red Sea Global and our destinations. It not only strengthens our connection with Europe, but also reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering extraordinary, luxury experiences.”

“Together with our partners at beOnd, we are opening a new gateway to the Saudi Red Sea coast, ushering in the next chapter of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 journey,” he added.

The Red Sea and AMAALA depend entirely on renewable energy, underscoring RSG’s commitment to sustainable and regenerative tourism.

The Red Sea destination currently includes nine luxury hotels open for guests, in addition to Thuwal Private Retreat off the coast of Jeddah.

Earlier this week, RSG launched AMAALA Triple Bay, which will feature six world-class luxury resorts in the first phase, as well as a yacht club, marine life institute, state-of-the-art marina and bustling Marina Village over the coming weeks.
