Saudi Arabia will welcome global leaders in Riyadh from November 7- 11, during the 26th session of the UN Tourism General Assembly, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Themed “AI-Powered Tourism: Redefining the Future,” the session marks the 50th anniversary of the organization’s founding.
Represented by the Ministry of Tourism, the Kingdom will bring together delegations from over 160 member states.
Moreover, the session will gather representatives of international organizations and key players and stakeholders in the tourism sector.
Therefore, the session will serve as a global dialogue aimed at defining a roadmap toward a more sustainable and advanced future for the tourism industry.
Meanwhile, it will mark five decades of collaboration and progress under the UN Tourism framework.
Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb affirmed that the Kingdom is eager to host the UN Tourism General Assembly, underscoring that the upcoming session will redefine collective global action in the tourism sector and boost its impact across other sectors.
The program includes various meetings for the General Assembly, as well as meetings for specialized committees and a thematic session delving into the transformative influence of artificial intelligence on tourism.
The session will also feature the election of the secretary-general of the organization.
