Saudi Crown Prince Awards EWC 2025 Champions

The Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025) concluded on Sunday, with the attendance of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, and Jordan’s Crown Prince, Hussein bin Abdullah, along with other dignitaries.

The Crown Prince presented the EWC 2025 trophy to the tournament’s champions “Team Falcon,” which secured their second title in a row.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Team Falcons won the grand prize of $7 million, topping the tournament standings with 5,200 points. The total prize pool of over $70 million was the largest in global Esports history, with winnings distributed among players and teams based on their rankings.

Over seven weeks, more than 2,000 professional players representing 200 clubs from more than 100 countries competed across 25 tournaments featuring the world’s most popular game titles. The EWC 2025 attracted unprecedented audiences and media attention.

The presence of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the event underscores his unwavering support for the gaming and Esports sector.

On this occasion, the CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, Ralf Reichert, hailed the Crown Prince’s support as a key factor of the tournament’s success.

He emphasized that Saudi Arabia created an unparalleled global experience, which featured a blend of diverse games, fierce competitions, and appealing entertainment, all of which contributed to its vast global attendance and online viewership.

Riyadh hosted the EWC’s inaugural edition in 2024, upon an initiative announced by the Saudi Crown Prince in 2023. Building on its huge success, the Kingdom hosted a second, and even more technically and organizationally advanced, edition in 2025.
