Riyadh Air is set to launch daily flights from Saudi Arabia’s capital to London’s Heathrow Airport before the end of the year.
According to Airport Coordination Limited, the coordinator which manages highly sought-after slots for over 78 airports across the world, Riyadh Air has secured a daily morning slot at the Heathrow Airport.
The flights between Riyadh and London are expected to start on October 26, 2025. Riyadh Air will reportedly use a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 288 seats to operate these daily flights from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to Heathrow Airport in London. Passengers can choose from 4 cabin classes: Business Elite, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy.
This new route will mark Riyadh Air’s first European destination and a major stride toward international expansion. The Kingdom’s new national carrier unveiled ambitions to become a key player in the global aviation sector. Its target is to serve over 100 destinations by 2030, focusing on opening global links for business and leisure travel.
Daily direct flights between Riyadh and London are currently operated by Virgin Atlantic and British Airways, in addition to Saudia, which operates up to 22 weekly flights between the two metropolitan capital cities. With this new route, Riyadh Air will join other airlines in meeting the increased demand for direct flights between Riyadh and London.
