Saudi Arabia to Take Part in Shanghai International Film Festival 2025

Saudi Arabia’s Film Commission will take part in the Shanghai International Film Festival 2025 to boost cultural cooperation with China, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Set to take place from June 13-22 in Shanghai, China, the festival represents the largest film festival in China and the only Chinese festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).

By participating in the event, the commission aims to foster international ties, promote Saudi stunning film locations, as well as highlight the Kingdom’s visual and geographical richness.

Importantly, the festival will offer a valuable platform for the commission to explore co-production and distribution opportunities for Saudi films in the Chinese market.

The film commission will also organize a Saudi pavilion from June 21-25 in the festival’s market to showcase the commission’s programs and initiatives.

Furthermore, the commission will communicate with industry professionals and highlight the creative and commercial potential of the Kingdom’s film sector.

The pavilion will also underscore the competitive advantages of the Saudi film industry to strengthen cooperation with industry experts from all over the world.
