With a noble urge to preserve the Arabia identity of Arab children in the western countries, Saudi Mohammed Al-Taweelie has launched a fruitful initiative to educate children and connect them with their Arabic culture.
Al-Taweelie, a Saudi engineer who has work experience in Germany, has noticed that the number of Arabic speakers among the Arab community is so small and the Arabic content designed for Arab children or refugees is so rare.
As a result, Al-Taweelie has embarked on a journey with personal funding to make a difference among Arab communities. Consequently, he launched a successful initiative called Daad focused on providing storytelling and learning activities for children through their online database.
He spoke in detail about his project and clarified that the Arabic stories are written in several categories for age groups 6-8 years and 9-12 years. “This project has produced over 140 high-quality Arabic stories with audio and video available for free,” Al-Taweelie told Arab News.

Al-Taweelie has crystalized his aims behind the initiative and said: “The initiative aims to enhance Arabic electronic content in Europe, aiming to enrich Arabic content and address its deficiencies in various fields of knowledge. The initiative included programs and competitions for students, resulting in over 50 million visits to scientific articles.”
Al-Taweelie has commended the accomplishments of the Saudi students abroad. “I founded several student clubs to support foreign and German students. I gained the trust of students at the Technical University of Dortmund, where I was elected by the university’s students in many associations,” he stated.
